I have always been a creative sort, from drawing in biro on the banister aged five to learning to crochet aged twenty-five. Creative Arts subjects were always my favourite at school, but I never had the passion before to pursue much outside of the day to day monotony of school and work: I was actually more academic than I was arty.
But in recent months I've discovered more and more that fuelling a creative fire has given me a huge amount of satisfaction - from making crochet flowers for friends' charity events to creating a blog header, I like losing myself in something and only realising, hours later, that the cup of tea I made before I sat down and started crafting has gone cold.
Inspired entirely by Kirsty of The Leopard Anchor, I decided to clear out my workspace and make it inviting, practical and inspiring. So here we are, at the beginning.
