DIY: Fabric Draught Excluder
01. Pick a jacket you no longer wear. Bonus points for a cute lining!
02. Snippity-snip the arms.
03. Stitch up the arm holes!
04. Fold the jacket in on itself until it resembles a sausage!
05. Pin the edges together and over sew.
06. Deploy your new excluder and be warm!

This is a great idea especially now the weathers' turned colder.
ReplyDeleteI was given a lovely one with horsey decoration on it as a gift but I thought that it was a long cushion until my Mum told me it was a draught excluder!

What a fantastic way of using up an old jacket! I had made one out of fabric and stuffing a few years back..but my dog kept thinking it was a big ol' toy for him :P
ReplyDeleteyou're sooo good at this!! love the result!
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to learn how to sew, i've been meaning to try and make christmas stocking but still confused on what's the difference between lining and interfacing and how to put them with the fabric hahaha...
